Crawl
The cookie jar is five rooms away. Left hand, right hand, left hand — keep an even rhythm and you pick up real speed. Then the grown-up looks up from her phone, and the only winning move is to stop dead.
How it plays
Left. Right. Freeze.
Alternate
Left half of the screen plants the left hand, right half the right. Never the same hand twice — that is a faceplant, and it costs you every bit of speed you had.
Find the rhythm
Keep an even tempo between hands and the GROOVE meter fills, multiplying every push. Mashing is slower than metronoming. This is the whole skill.
Freeze
She looks up. The eye goes red. Touch the screen now — even to hop — and you are caught. Three catches and it is nap time.
The route
Five rooms to the jar.
Then the house starts again, faster
Nursery
Soft carpet, soft landings. Alphabet blocks to hop and a first taste of being watched.
Hallway
Floorboards. A beach ball rolls at you and the cat starts taking an interest.
Living room
Chair legs everywhere, and the good crumbs. Arcs of cheerios that only a hop can reach.
Dining room
Spilled milk. Crawl through it and your next two pushes barely bite.
Kitchen
Cold tile, and the jar. Reach it for two hundred snacks, a heart back, and a harder lap of the same house.
- Opposition
- Alphabet blocks and beach balls to hop, sock piles that bog you down, spilled milk that makes every push slip, and a cat that stops dead in the doorway to wash a paw.
- The grown-up
- She cycles: on her phone, looking up, looking straight at you. The bar at the top of the screen is the honest countdown, and she always telegraphs before she turns.
- Scoring
- Distance in centimetres, plus snacks. A good groove is worth more than frantic tapping — the multiplier reaches ×1.44 at a steady tempo.
- Power-ups
- A pacifier absorbs one mistake. A juice box triggers a sugar rush: four seconds of unstoppable auto-crawl, and she cannot catch what she cannot follow.
- Session
- A lap of the house runs about a minute. It remembers your longest crawl.
- Progress
- Best distance saved on your device. No account, no sign-in.
- Plays on
- Any modern browser, desktop or phone. Two thumbs, a mouse, or the arrow keys.
- Weight
- A single file. Loads in a blink, plays offline.
Questions
Before you set off.
Do I need an account?
No. Nothing to create, nothing to remember. Your best crawl stays on the device you play on.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded it runs without a connection, all five rooms of it.
How does it play on a phone?
Tap the left half of the screen for the left hand, the right half for the right, and swipe up to hop. It was designed for two thumbs on a phone first.
Why do I keep getting caught?
Because you kept moving. When the eye at the top turns red, stop tapping completely — the grown-up is looking straight at you. She always warns you first.
